STUDENT WORK
As was customary with school assignments, the only thing we were provided with was the plain text in a shared digital file and instructed as to whether we were permitted to use imagery or if we had to implement an exclusively type-driven solution.
For this mock editorial spread, I chose to experiment with unconventional placement & scale of the typography to convey the sense of foreboding implied in the article's subject matter. I also used color to attempt to create a sense of depth in the z-axis corresponding to specific parts of the title and byline.
