Omar Marcos - Graphic Design: Student Work2

STUDENT WORK

My professors were much more well-read than I was as a student, and even today, my lifetime reading list pales in comparison to the expanse of their literary & design knowledge. So at times they would name titles that would leave me trying to hide my resulting clueless expression, or they would ask us to design a project for a piece of literature I had never heard of.
In this case, one professor asked us to design a type-only book jacket for a Lexicon of Lunacy, and I thought, why not reflect the unique theme by emphasizing the articles in the title instead of its keywords? In retrospect, although I did also bring the inside out by placing part of the interior definitions on the cover (reminiscent of certain postmodern architecture that exposed the interior pipes & workings), I could have done much more to experiment with texture on this project.
