GRAPHIC DESIGN

A 2-D professor of mine always emphasized the need to be able to articulate the thought processes and logic behind our artwork. Being artists & students, we were more interested in creating randomly or trying to impress the cuties in the classroom back then, but time has decidedly proven the wisdom of my professor's instruction.
Now, most of the commentary visible once you hover over the subsequent graphic design portfolio images isn't anywhere near how I conceptualized as a student. In fact, back then, a good portion of my work materialized out of the result of the visually stimulating atmosphere (interacting with other artists on an almost daily basis & being inundated with simultaneous classes of art history & art application) or, at times, due to occasional "happy accidents" that occurred during the creation of work. (Renowned designer Primo Angeli was right when he philosophized, "From mud comes the lotus.")
So allow me to begin with a few examples from my design classes, continuing with select post-graduation print work, and wrapping up with a small sampling of digital and online projects.
