Omar Marcos - Graphic Design: Print - Logo Variations

PRINT WORK

As part of an ad agency interview, I was asked to design two nearly finalized logo variations for a range of eco-friendly products (…and, no, I didn't design the actual Stihl® logo!). This was a high-priority rush project with only 6 hours allotted for completion. Yes, I did make the deadline, but I wouldn't recommend creating a logo in such a short time or without drafts & input sessions.
I realize in today's global economy, you can outsource a logo for around 30 bucks with incredibly quick turnaround times, but organizations have to ask themselves if that level of design quality truly represents their company & if that process sufficiently addresses their brand's goals. And while it's tempting for graphic designers to lower their prices to match those of a competitor halfway around the world, I'll simply say the following:
Know your worth and the value of your work.
