THE PROGRESSIONS

While I haven't had much time for music lately, when I do get a chance to partake in the melodic arts, you'll find me messing up pentatonic scale runs or combining unlikely chord progressions…

UNDER 20 SECONDS

This was a musical background for an architectural firm's video presentation. It took me forever to try to come up with it, but I eventually settled on a Spanish-sounding composition using some chord quality changes & movement in the bass for the outro. Since the length of my original composition was limited to the duration of the brief sequential clip, I gave it a corresponding title. (How original, right?) Due to website scraping by artificial intelligence developers, however, I'm only providing a very brief clip of this piece.

INFORMATIONAL VIDEO MUSIC

My first complete composition ironically happened to be for an instrument that I don't really play. (Being for an informational video, the keyboard's sound just seemed a much better fit. So I suppose necessity really is the mother of invention…) It's a really short and simple melody, and obviously I spruced it up with some synth textures and echoes at key spots to fill out the sound slightly. And there was even a background filler used throughout the piece & especially for the last two measures that I haven't included below because it would be too redundant. Anyway, I'm sure true piano/keyboard players out there could make this sound way better than I did!
(Oh, and beats per minute are roughly 110-124. I didn't include that in the graphic below!)
