I'll admit German doesn't come easy for me. But then I found out about cognates, words that have the same root as English words & are often identical in spelling. I wonder if I can have an entire conversation with cognates or even use them to charm a date… "Möchten Sie einen Hamster Hamburger?"
I feel like a kindergartener again trying to re-learn how to count, but this time in foreign languages. But when you're in another country, you have to look classy when you're ordering those four desserts for yourself! Stimmt's?
