While my other fashion section will feature mostly sketches & art of runway shows from the past decade or so, this page will focus exclusively on more vintage apparel. Perhaps you're thinking (as I once did) that retro fashions consist of little more than hoop dresses, black leather jackets, & slick hair, reminiscent of a 1950s-themed high school dance! But there's such a rich and varied history to fashion apparel, the entirety of which is well beyond the scope of this simple website.
And yes, I'll often produce art here that's evocative of styles from the the past. Not to steal someone's livelihood or signature look, but to serve as a historical reference. Sometimes we as creatives can have a tendency to forget the past and carry on as if the continuum of art begins and ends with us. Yet incredibly talented artists have come before us, and this is just the beginning of my illustrated tribute to their impressive designs & creative abilities.
