The Spanish word "Rios" signifies "rivers". Notwithstanding the sometimes unpredictable and raging nature of flowing bodies of water, rivers have often been associated with tranquility & calm in both literature and art. In keeping with those historical connotations, my RIOS series is meant to evoke a sense of peace and jubilant life through the use of basic color schemes and very simple compositions. Because in the ever-increasing complexity of our frenetic world, we could use a little simplicity from time to time.
PAPER: Consists of Cotton and lignin-free cellulose. Acid-free & Archival quality.
SIZE: Each small painting is 6" x 6". (Note that the dark borders in the images above only exist to differentiate between the off-white watercolor paper and the white background of this page. The actual pieces of art have no such borders.)
