One in a series of fashion illustrations in which I've been experimenting with a few different stylistic treatments in various mediums. Even though I personally find these works have an unfinished quality about them, another part of me is trending towards an even more unpolished look.
From what I've heard, Impressionist painter Edgar Degas attempted to raise the level of public appreciation for sketches, wanting to equate them with what others would consider true & worthy works of art. While I would hardly consider myself mentioning alongside the great masters of the past, perhaps Degas did have the right idea…
