LES ANNÉES − Perhaps it was inevitable that my research into Fashion History across the decades would serve as a catalyst for increasing variations of visual styles. It's true that the following pieces could rightly be incorporated in my "Die Buchstaben" series, with some of these fashion images juxtaposed with typefaces that echo their respective time periods and with a few of the paintings containing hand-drawn lettering reminiscent of Belle Époque posters. But instead I've decided to initiate a new category for these works that blend both illustrative techniques & select fine art styles in this collection designated as "Les Années" ("The Decades").
