DIE BUCHSTABEN − Having studied graphic design, I should be acutely aware of the historical tradition of merging words & visual imagery, and the proven potential of the same for effectively communicating ideas. However, lately I've been less than mindful of those facts, tending to almost compartmentalize the two by either producing straightforward images or copious amounts of writing. So why not revisit those design-driven practices by joining those concepts together in this new fine art section? Introducing "Die Buchstaben" (German for "The Letters"), a way of celebrating the use of letterforms as a means of expression through posters, typography explorations, and other artistic mediums.
